| The plan for my final evening in SF was to meet folks for dinner at Assab. I decide to walk from Potrero Hill and dropped off some library books at the main library on the way. I was very excited by the automated checkin machine they had. You basically slide the item into the machine to return it, and it zips it to the back for reshelving after removing it from your account. You can see one of my DVDs being transported on the conveyer belt to the back of the library. I joked with Aparna that I'd check things out just to have the fun of checking them in again! Maybe I liked this because it reminded me of Roborally with the conveyer belts shifting things around and changing direction (and we almost got to squeeze in a game after dinner but were a bit too tired to do so). Maybe I need to get out more... |  |
